Brown Jr: A Sound That Connects
Son of a trucker
Growing up as adopted only child to a trucker and a cafeteria cook, Brown Jr (Alvin) goes by his last instead of being reminded that he's named after a famous chipmunk." The Murfreesboro native, born Nov.1, 1998, was reared near the country music capitol, Nashville. The genre has always lured him, along with the smell of diesel, as referenced in the song Trucking in my Blood. So it's understandable that his debut album features the safety of truckers everywhere. The powerful messages in his music begs to be heard.
There are many great artists, but the heartfelt sincere vocals of Brown, Jr. connects with listeners in a relatable way - notably heard in the song Give me These Four Things. Brown Jr's quest is simply to produce music that is viable and meaningful, and yes, a pleasure to listeners. As for who he listens to, the list is long, but Garth Brooks is his main country artist and B.B. King, Creedence Clearwater, and Muddy Waters are also musical influences.
In his spare time he loves picnics and "driving up Highway 41 to the Fishing Hole to see what the water offers." Mostly he loves watching Tennessee Volunteers football and NASCAR, as well as shooting pool and slinging a few darts. When not writing music, this unhitched musical powerhouse, is enjoying his current journey.
